A big dump of snow has left many northwest B.C. residents stuck in the driveway and some students an unexpected long weekend
The Coast Mountains School District cancelled all of its bus runs throughout the district due to poor road conditions Friday morning.
The district says schools will remain open and officials will re-evaluate conditions in the afternoon.
Parents/guardians can expect an update from the school district by 2:00 p.m.
Further questions can be directed to their school principal or Diversified Transportation at 250-635-7042 or 1-855-538-5287.
Transit services have also been disrupted by the poor road conditions and heavy snow.
Terrace Public Transit says there is no service to the following areas:
Gitaus
Thornhill
Kitsumkalum
New Remo
Queensway
Officials say updates will be posted on the BC Transit website at www.bctransit.com
