Premier John Horgan will be in Northern British Columbia for the next couple of days.
Horgan will be touring the LNG Canada site near Kitimat Friday morning and will be holding a question and answer session before heading to Terrace for an afternoon meeting with local business owners.
The stops follow a fundraising event in Terrace Thursday night.
While the Premier’s tour will include visits to a number of communities, John Horgan will not be meeting with Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs to discuss their opposition to the Coastal GasLink project.
Hereditary leaders have requested a meeting with the provincial and federal governments after evicting Coastal GasLink from their territory earlier this month.
While the Premier won’t be visiting the territory, interim Green Party leader Adam Olsen says he has accepted an invitation from the Hereditary Chiefs to visit this weekend.
Olsen says he has also reached out to the RCMP.
