In a statement released today, Prince Rupert and the District Chamber of Commerce has said that they understand the importance of strong relationships with both elected and Hereditary Indigenous Leaders in its region.
They say that a consistent flow of cargo by ship and rail is vital to the well being of 6,200 Canadian workers in Prince Rupert and beyond.
Prince Rupert and the District Chamber of Commerce is urging all parties to work toward a peaceful and mutually-respectful conclusion to this disruption.
