The Kermode Friendship society joined other Indigenous and non-Indigenous groups from across Canada in remembering and honouring missing and murdered Indigenous women in Canada.
The gathering began shortly before 11 this morning at the totem pole on Eby St. between Terrace City Hall and the RCMP offices. After a prayer was said and people had a chance to speak roses were placed at the totem pole to honour the missing and murdered Indigenous women.
Cal Albright, the Executive Director for Kermode Friendship Society says that if people want to help that people should come and be a part of these marches and circles.
This healing walk was an opportunity for the community to come together to honour and remember all the missing and murdered
