Canadian Pacific has called on the federal government to begin talks with the Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs.
In a letter by Keith Creel, President and Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Pacific he says the time for rhetoric has passed, now resolutions require action. Though CP is being impacted severely by the ongoing blockades they still support the Wet’suwet’en’s request for dialogue with the Prime Minister. Yesterday the western corridor near Chase B.C. was blockaded stopping rail access to the Port of Vancouver.
Creel goes on to say that he understands the frustrations of the Wet’suwet’en and support them in wanting a quick resolution.
