A necropsy performed on a wolf suspected of attacking a Port Edward man last week came back inconclusive.
The animal attacked a Port Edward resident as he walked home causing injuries that sent him to the hospital. The animal was killed by Conservation Officers on Monday.
The next step in determining whether the right wolf was killed is now up to DNA sampling. No time frame has been provided as to when the DNA test would be conducted and the results made public.
Meanwhile, Port Edward officials have put out another warning advising locals to take extra precautions as another lone wolf was spotted Wednesday morning.
