B.C. is now entering phase 3 of its restart plan. The announcement came yesterday from Premier John Horgan.
Horgan also notes, “As we carefully turn up the dial on our activity, we can now look to travel safely around the province. But as we hit the open roads this summer, we must remember we are not leaving COVID-19 behind, and we need to continue to do our part to bend the curve and protect the progress we’ve made.”
If you are wishing to travel within B.C. it’s important to have a plan especially when visiting smaller and rural communities. Some rules have been laid out by our Provincial Health Officer including, continuing to physically distance, not travelling if you’re sick and self isolating immediately if you become sick while traveling, respecting any travel advisories that are still in place and spending time in small groups and open spaces.
WorkSafeBC, public health officials and industry representatives have developed guidelines for hotels and resorts, parks, the film industry and select entertainment have begun to open with safety plans already in place. B.C.’s current state of emergency continues until Jul. 7 allowing for the government to steps to keep residents safe.
