A traffic stop in Terrace led to the arrest of a person wanted on Canada-Wide warrants.
Last week the Unit Commander of the West Pacific Region Traffic Services conducted speed enforcement along Highway 16 near Terrace. Upon stopping the vehicle the driver produced a novice driver’s licence which led the officer to ask a number of questions. He then learned that the driver was wanted on Canada-wide warrants for several serious offences that had occurred in Yukon in 2018.
The driver was then arrested and taken to the Terrace RCMP detachment. The RCMP would like to remind anyone that if they have tips regarding serious crime to contact their local police or Crimestoppers.
