Coast Mountain College will be offering distributed learning for the fall and winter 2020-2021 academic year.
This announcement ensures that students and staff have certainty in how classes will be taught. Distributed learning will use tools that include online conferencing, video, social media, textbooks and other ways to engage students.
When students do need to come face-to-face for practical components it will take place in a regulated manner as advised by B.C.’s Provincial Health Officer. Students who need to come to campus will also get priority in registering for student housing. This safe operations framework has been in the works over the last couple of months. The framework is in line with all provincial recommendations.
Classes have already completed following theses strict regulations including, electrical foundations, enhanced welding, heavy mechanic, professional cook and millwright.
