June 21st is National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada.
CFNR streamed over 8 hours of interviews and audience submitted videos celebrating Indigenous culture on the day recognized by Canada.
Mike Dangeli is a gifted carver from Northern BC, and donated a mask with much meaning as it is focused on the Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and the Highway of Tears.
The prize winner is Haida artist Roger Edward Smith, who is a talented carver himself, and was humbled to have won this amazing piece of Indigenous art.
