For the first time since the beginning of the pandemic the BC Centre for Disease Control has released specific Covid-19 numbers.
Previous to now the numbers were released by health region. Now with the updated numbers we can get a better picture of where the cases were by each town.
The numbers represent the cumulative cases from January to July. On the coast Haida Gwaii saw 20 cases, Terrace saw six, Smithers five and Kitimat three. In the Nechako region there were three cases, Prince George saw 33, Quesnel there was one and Peace River South had two. To the north from there Peace River North had 13. Lastly, Fort nelson saw a single case.
The majority of the province’s cases are in Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health.
