When it comes to Indigenous led television and film, Urban Rez Productions’ co-founder Jeff Bear has been on the fore front for decades.
From being appointed to the first board of directors at APTN, to his lengthy career behind the camera, Bear seems to be one of the busiest men in the Canadian television industry.
With his brand new series called “Petroglyphs to Pixels”, 13 First Nations artists who range from traditional to contemporary, performance to visual, display their provoking work.
In our interview, Jeff passionately talks about the show and each artist featured in it. He also takes us through his life and career, and gives us a little bit of a preview of what we can expect to see on the program.
