Acclaimed Metis playwright, Marie Clements, has a lot of accomplishments under her belt, not only in the theatre, but also in TV and movies.
Last year, her feature “Red Snow” made its debut at the Vancouver International Film Festival and has more recently been made available to stream on the CBC Gem app. It’s an intense movie about a young Gwich’in soldier from Canada’s artic, who joins the army, ends up in Afghanistan, and is captured and held hostage by the Taliban.
In our interview, Marie will talk about how and where Red Snow was shot, and who was involved on the acting side of things – as well as a bit about her life as a multi-talented artist and leader working in the entertainment industry.
