My Dad, Rifleman FR Snider, joined the Canadian army in 1953 and served until 1956. Rifleman FR Snider went to the Korean War in 1955 in the 2nd battalion named Queens Own Rifles. His hat badge emblem was the #2 inside a red maple leaf. He does not speak of much about the experiences he lived while in Korea but proudly marches in the Remembrance day memorials every year since to 2019 and would still if not for Covid 19.
All his family is extremely proud of him for what he stands for. Grand Salute to our Terrace BC Veteran, Rifleman FR Snider, our husband, father, grandfather & great grandfather and Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, and is also someone who has been a member of our local Legion Branch 13 for 40 +years. My family and I would like to salute him and all of his fellow comrades for the service they provided so that we can live free and wish to say Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Kindest regards on the day we will always remember Nov 11th for those who served and protected our freedom.
