If there’s anything good to come out of 2020 it’s the ability to telecommute. With a good wi-fi connection, many are working from home, taking courses from their couch, or teaching classes over zoom.
Our guests on this show are here to tell you about one of the bright spots that came out of this year, an opportunity for Indigenous designers across the country, to get help in upscaling or building their own fashion business, facilitated by Ryerson University.
First up, we’ll get to speak with Justine Woods, a mentor for the Indigenous Fashion Support Program and Ryerson Fashion Zone alum.
Then, in the second half of our show, we’ll get a chance to hear from Andrea Romero, co-director of entrepreneurship at the creative innovation studio, and manager of the fashion zone at Ryerson University.
She’s one of the key people behind the program, and she’ll tell you all about IFS itself, and who is eligible to apply in the next intake, starting January 15th, 2020.
