We’ve got a couple of very wonderful people on this show…Lisa Lawley with the Kermode Friendship Society, and Brin Friend with the Terrace Women’s Resource Centre.
They’re here to talk about an upcoming online event focused on missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and 2 spirit people, which aims to develop and create meaningful conversations and Allyships within the community.
I do want to warn people ahead of this episode that are some sensitive and potentially triggering content, but it is an honest, and insightful conversation about very real and very important subjects.
I hope you listen with an open heart and mind, and take something positive away from our interview.
To register for the Allyship Webinar being hosted Thursday, February 11th, 2021 at 11am, email equity@twrcs.ca.
And don’t forget to stop by the Kermode Friendship Society at 4553 Park Ave. in Terrace to pick up your red hand print mask! They’re open Monday through Thursday between 9am and 5pm.
Remember, the deal is that if you do get a mask, you submit a picture of yourself wearing it for the virtual MMIWG2S commemoration.
