An artifact dating back nearly 1800 years was recently uncovered in Minette Bay, a link to generations past for the Haisla people.
On this episode, we’re speaking to Candice Wilson, Environment Manager with the Haisla Nation, who will tell us all about the very real impacts a find like this can have on the community.
She’ll also talk about her own personal reaction to the discovery as well, and what will happen with the weirs now that they’ve been taken out of the bay.
We’re also going to get to hear a bit about some of the highlights of the film about this archaeological find, expertly crafted by Kleanza Consulting’s Stories and Outreach division, as well as Might for Right Productions.
