The BCCDC has released their weekly Covid-19 case numbers for the period of March 14 to March 20.
Prince Rupert remains the highest in the Northern Health Region at 113 total cases. Prince Rupert continues their vaccination plan for the town and is expected to be done next week.
The Nisga’a region reported four cases, Terrace had 29 cases which is a slight bump from last week. Kitimat reported 20 cases, Smithers had 19, Burns Lake three, Quesnel and Nechako had one. On the eastern part of the north Prince George had 39, Peace River North had 25 and Fort Nelson had one. Peace River South recorded a jump in cases reporting 74 during this period, which is an increase of 48.
Surrey continues to be the hotspot in the province recording 946 total Covid-19 cases during this period. The BCCDC releases their Covid-19 case data on Wednesdays.
