Our guest is Brett Huson, the author of a series of children’s books called “Mothers of Xsan”, a writer and artist who grew up traditionally on Gitxsan territory, but now lives a few provinces over, working at the Prairie Climate Centre at the University of Winnipeg.
His gig there is very important and compelling – connecting Indigenous knowledge to science. It’s VERY cool. We’ll get to learn more about how he does that in our interview, as well as about his books, and who his biggest influences are.
