B.C. records 3,289 new COVID-19 cases over the last three days, pushing the number of active cases to 9,937.
Of those cases, 368 with COVID-19 are in hospital, and 125 of those cases are in the Northern Health region. Overall, 121 patients are in intensive care. Sadly, 18 more people have lost their lives to the virus, for a total of 1,513 COVID-19 related deaths in B.C.
In today’s COVID-19 update, provincial health officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, urged patience for those who work in “high-risk workplaces.” She says the parallel worker program, will get the vaccine to all those who need it due to their employment, but adds, “Like our age-based program, not everyone will get it at once, but everyone will have their turn.”
