A local Terrace man had to be taken to the hospital after he was assaulted in his driveway by a suspect who then ran inside his house.
Back on the morning of July 22, the Terrace resident was leaving his home to go to his job when he encountered a man that was on his property. The suspect ended up becoming aggressive, and then he began assaulting the resident in his driveway and yelling out threats.
The disturbance was heard by one of the resident’s family members as well as a neighbor, both called the police to report the incident while it was in progress.
When police arrived on the scene, the suspect ran inside the resident’s home. An officer pursued the suspect into the residence and arrested him before he could cause more harm.
The suspect was taken to the Terrace cells for processing and was later released once he sobered up and he took a court date and strict conditions along with him.
The home owner had to be taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Anyone who might have more information about this incident is being asked to contact the Terrace RCMP at 250-638-7400.
