Both the governments of Canada and BC are continuing to invest in infrastructure and help the communities of BC recover from the impacts of the pandemic.
Nine local infrastructure projects in Northern BC have been tagged to receive funding. The Terrace Sportsplex will get a retrofit, Stewart’s administrative building will get exterior upgrades, The Iskut Band Office will see some renovations, the Gitsegukla band will retrofit their kitchen, Bulkley Nechako will get money to build new trails along the highway 16 corridor, Burns Lake’s arena will use their funds for repairs and upgrades, Fort St John’s north peace arena will get upgrades and the Dene nation will create a multi-use pathway in order to get better connection to the community’s main amenities.
The Federal and Provincial governments are investing a combined $5.7 million dollars into the nine projects.
