RCMP in Bella Coola are looking for witnesses or anyone with information after a capsized boat near Bella Coola cost two tourists their lives.
In the late morning of August 10th, Bella Coola RCMP were notified of a capsized boat near Walker Island Park.
After an extensive search, members of the Nuxalk First Nation recovered a body.
The body was identified as Cameron Murdoch, a Vancouver area man who was on his tenth wedding anniversary with his wife at the time.
The couple reportedly were on a guided tour down the Bella Coola River, which launched around 8 in the morning.
After several days of searching, rescuers were unable to locate his wife, Andrea, or the tour guide.
