According to the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation, housing starts in BC dropped by 24 percent in July, compared to June, but still improved on last July’s effort.
While the mid-summer month may have fallen behind on the seasonally adjusted monthly chart, the province still improved by 22 percent compared to last July’s figures.
As a country, Canada saw an 8 percent increase compared to July of 2020, and a drop of 3 percent when compared to last month.
