With election time coming sooner than expected, the candidates for the Skeena-Bulkley Valley are beginning their campaigns.
NDP MP Taylor Bachrach is the incumbent, having continued the NDP’s hold on the riding with a win in 2019.
Representing the Conservative party, Claire Ratée was the 2019 runner up and looks to take another shot this year.
Jody Craven will once again represent the People’s Party of Canada, which was brand new to the region in 2019.
As the Nation’s Leader for the party, Rod Taylor will represent the Christian Heritage Party.
And Haida Member and former Old Masset village councilor, Adeana Young is representing the Green Party, saying their values most align with Indigenous principles.
Taylor is the only new representative on the ballot.
