The Province of BC is giving out quite a bit of money in order to help get a Situation table in Kitimat set up all the way.
Situation tables, which have been also known as hubs, is an alliance of sorts consisting of both reps from different agencies as well as front line workers.
The office of solicitor general Mike Farnworth along with the provincial Ministry of Public Safety gave the announcement of this funding earlier in the week and the situation table, which is made up of a community based team of representatives from multiple different agencies like health, social services and public safety, made sure to state that they are aiming to deliver both better and faster services to the general public.
The idea of these situation tables was first put into action in BC back in 2015. At the moment there are 12 active situation tables in BC and there is work being done to create 9 more of these tables.
