Volunteers from the Terrace RCMP are coming together in order to launch the Speed Watch Program in the community as Pandemic Restrictions were starting to ease up.
Yesterday morning, Volunteers were on the 3600 block of Kalum Street, with a new speed reader board that was provided by ICBC.
With the program now being active, Terrace Community members can now expect to see the Speed Watch volunteers set up in certain areas where speed is considered a problem, but they are only set up in places where their safety is not compromised.
The RCMP also believe the start time for this program is coming at good time with School coming back soon. Efforts are also going to be made to have these Speed Watches set up in various school zones as September comes around.
