Restrictions are back for the Northern Health Region in response to the recent rise in cases.
Effect September 7th people will only be allowed to have 5 guests in their home or one additional family. Personal Gatherings outside of the home will once again be restricted to 50 people. Indoor events will once again need a safety plan but it is not required to be submitted for approval. Outside events will need a safety plan if there are more than 200 people as well as sporting events with spectators both indoor and outdoor.
B.C.’s step 3 of their restart plan remains in place. Indoor fitness classes are still allowed at normal capacity along with gyms and recreation facilities. Restaurants, bars, pubs and nightclubs will also not be restricted.
Measures will remain in place until Northern Health experiences lower cases and higher vaccination rates.
