Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau was on the defensive at last night`s leader`s debate after his handling of Indigenous affairs was called in to question.
NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh was the first to call out the Incumbent PM, saying he`s allowed longtime problems to worsen.
Singh also chastised Trudeau for not acting on the Calls to Justice made in the Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women more than two years ago.
In response, Trudeau called Singh a cynic, saying that his assertions were an oversimplification of on-going legal matters relating to Indigenous Social Sevices.
The debate was the first and only English language debate of the cycle, with 5 of 6 major federal leaders present, PPC leader Maxime Bernier was not invited to debate.
