A report released by the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine today, reveals what residents find important when it comes to waste management.
In total, 1,215 residents participated in the survey, which will inform the District`s Solid Waste Management Plan, to be finalized this fall.
According to the results, residents want: a wider variety of items picked up curbside, clarity around what and where to recycle, more reuse opportunities, more convenient transfer station hours, and ways to keep landfills cleaner, among others.
