A pair of Williams Lake industrial companies, Atlantic Power Corp and Pinnacle Renewable Resources, are forming a partnership in order to monitor the air quality of the community.
In order to make sure that this monitoring is as accurate as possible, the companies are going to be purchasing 10 PurpleAir Sensors.
These Sensors will be placed in several different places throughout the Williams Lake valley and they will take readings every 5 seconds for a particulate matter known as PM 2.5.
Terry Shannon, the EHS manager for Atlantic Power, is expecting these sensors to be installed by at least, the end of 2021.
