Dozens of municipal reps from across the province gathered today for the first of three roundtables hosted by the Liberal Caucus.
Four MLAs hosted today`s roundtable, including Prince George-Mackenzie MLA Mike Morris, and three from the Southern Mainland.
It is the intent of the series of discussions to address the impacts of crime and its underlying causes across the province.
The Liberals say the roundtable was constructive, and that it was clear the NDP government was going to need to focus more on addiction, mental health services, housing and policing.
As part of the Union of BC Municipalities` annual convention, the Caucus will host two more discussions this week, focusing on making communities more affordable, and growing the economy post-Covid.
