A man convicted of a Terrace area murder from 1998 has been allowed parole for six months.
40 year-old Christopher Maurice Alexander has been serving a life sentence for the murder of Linda LeFranc.
According to police reports, Alexander entered the home of LeFranc using a hidden key and stabbed her 83 times.
He was charged with second degree murder in 2002.
Alexander was released to a halfway house in 2015, before being arrested on sexual assault allegations that were not upheld.
As part of his parole conditions, he is not permitted to visit Terrace, Kitimat, or a number of other locations.
He must also receive prior consent from his parole officer to be out overnight.
Alexander was sent to a halfway house near Prince George, and his parole will be reviewed in 6 months.
