As Covid case numbers continue to rise, giving way to a fourth wave, the province is taking a proactive approach.
Health Minister Adrian Dix restated the importance of contact tracing today, announcing additional contact tracers across the province.
While the additional employees will bring Northern Health up to 63, it still trails behind all other Health Authorities.
Because of additional strain in the Northeast, the bulk of the BC CDC’s expected 167 tracers, will assist the Authority.
Interior Health will gain 50 new contact tracing employees, bringing their total to 180.
