The North Cariboo Joint Advisory Committee was unable to come up with a plan on what to do with the pool in the Quesnel and District Arts and Recreation Centre at their meeting yesterday, which was their first since June.
At the meeting, the committee, which is composed of people like Quesnel city councillors and Cariboo Regional District directors, did not agree on what they should do to renovate the recreation centre’s pool.
A referendum that would’ve had the committee borrow some money and then use said money to pay for the upgrades, was rejected in a public vote that was held back in June.
The committee members did realize that doing nothing wasn’t an option but they still couldn’t come to a consensus on how to start.
So for now, they have decided to go back to asking for the public’s opinion on how they think this should be handled.
