Due to the fire danger rating either going down to low or very low, the BC Wildfire Service has gone onto lift all the remaining fire bans in the Cariboo Fire Centre.
They were officially lifted yesterday at noon so now, The Wildfire service said in a media release that all open burning and the use of items like sky lanterns, binary exploding targets, fireworks and burn cages is allowed in the Cariboo Fire Centre.
The release also mentioned that local governments still have their own fire rules so residents should probably talk to local authorities before starting any kind of fire.
The BC Wildfire service also made sure to remind people to take the necessary precautions before they start a fire.
