Predictably, the Covid-19 pandemic wreaked havoc on the tourism and recreation industries, and the Fraser was not spared.
Board members for the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George were presented with 2020’s unfavourable cultural site attendance numbers yesterday.
That report showed a drop in visitors by nearly 75 percent, with just over 46,000 across the 8 sites funded by the District.
Despite the down year, the sites still managed over 3,500 student visits.
Each year, the District selects 8 heritage and cultural sites within the Region to fund as part of their Regional Cultural Plan.
