After a pandemic-induced two year hiatus, the Pacific Northwest Music Festival is planning a 2022 return, albeit in a limited fashion.
Yesterday, Terrace Council gave support to a 15 thousand dollar grant funding request to help the Festival bounce back from Covid.
As it stands, the plan would have the event adapt to current Covid protocols by restricting competitions and events to solo performances only, moving the venue to the theatre to allow for more spectators, and modifying their layout.
They have until mid-January to modify the plan for changing guidelines until it must be finalized under grant rules.
Last year, a virtual event was put on in place of the live event, accepting video submissions.
The target date for the Festival as of now is April 21st to May 6th of next year.
