Covid has not been kind to the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia, and it doesn’t appear to be letting up.
Northern Health has declared another outbreak at the Prince George based hospital, the second currently active.
This time, the declaration covers the Internal Medicine Unit, following seven positive tests, all among patients.
A previous outbreak declared covering the Primary Care Unit is still in place, though they are not considered to be related.
Northern Health will continue to monitor the situation, with enhanced outbreak control measures in place.
That includes restricting visitors to essential only, enhanced cleaning procedures, and reducing staff interactions.
