A former community mainstay in Kitimat is scheduled to get revamped, and soon you can help decide how.
Kitimat Council is set to begin the first Engagement round of their Nechako Centre concept Plan.
While the Plan’s details haven’t been fully revealed yet, they will aim to show how the Centre will be used to support community needs in the future.
The plan will guide future development possibilities for both private, and District owned lots.
It will also determine zoning changes, infrastructure upgrades, and an investment breakdown.
The project features a 5 step timeline, which just wrapped up the first phase.
Soon, the project will enter its first of two rounds of community engagement, focusing on a community survey, classroom projects, and stakeholder outreach.
