City of Terrace officials have made the suggestion that there may be a method in which Terrace’s bridges can become more accommodating to both pedestrians and cyclists.
The method that these officials want to use in order to make going across the bridge without a car easier, is to widen the narrow sidewalks that already exist on these bridges.
The city officials have even offered to get the city’s engineering department to draw up some preliminary construction concepts, although the department is currently under the ownership of the provincial government.
The idea of this potential project first showed up late in September after city council members brought up multiple cycling and walking projects during a discussion of potential projects to put money into for 2022.
