A mushroom picker near Terrace came across something more morbid than fungi this weekend.
According to police, the woman was out in the woods near the airport when she came across a body.
She contacted RCMP, who confirmed the man had passed away from what they believe to be medical issues.
They found a number of items on the man, who they also believe to have been picking mushrooms, but will not be releasing his identity.
The Coroners’ Service is investigating the death, but do not believe it to be suspicious.
