October 8th Covid-19 Update

British Columbia is reporting 624 new cases of Covid-19, as of last night.

That brings the province’s active total to 5,929, with 132 in ICU.

Of the new cases, 91 are within Northern Health’s boundaries, while 118 are in the Interior.

Four new deaths have been reported, with none in the North or Interior.

Over the past two weeks, 78 percent of Covid hospitalizations have been among the unvaccinated.

Currently, 83 percent of eligible residents are fully vaccinated.
