Lax Kw’alaams leadership has provided an update on the Covid lockdown announced last week.
After being advised of a possible case on their territory, the Nation introduced the temporary lockdown late last week.
Now, with more information available, they have announced some specifics.
For at least the remainder of the week, the school, Brighter Futures, and Headstart facilities will remain closed.
Maintenance and the Health Centre will resume regular duties, and the Rec Centre will reopen only to the double vaccinated, verified by vaccine card.
In terms of travel, residents are allowed travel freely to and from the Nation’s territory, but visitors will need both vaccines.
That also applies to essential workers and contractors on site.
