A body discovered in a Bella Coola estuary this weekend may be linked to a boating incident from August.
On August 10th, a fishing boat carrying Cameron and Andrea Murdoch, as well as a 61 year-old guide, was found capsized and abandoned.
The boat was located near Walker Island, and had previously been spotted fishing near the Bella Coola River.
Cameron Murdoch’s body was located later that day, but the fate of the other two remains unknown.
Now RCMP are reporting a Saturday discovery of human remains which they believe could be connected, though they are still investigating,
Bella Coola Valley Search and Rescue was able to recover the body with assistance from the Nuxalk River Guardians.
As of this moment the body has not been identified, though foul play is not suspected as the investigation moves forward.
