Construction is scheduled to begin on the Port of Prince Rupert’s first ever Marine Fuel Terminal next month.
In conjunction with the Prince Rupert Port Authority, the Wolverine Terminals owned project has now received approval from Transport Canada.
Scheduled to be operational by 2023, the terminal would bring a slew of new jobs to the region, both direct and indirect.
The rail-served facility completed its Environmental Effects Evaluation in 2019, and will utilize CN Rail’s cross-continent network.
Construction activities will be capped off with the delivery of two custom-built vessels to the Port.
