Northern Health has put more Covid restrictions in place, but only for the Northeast regions.
In order to stem the spread of the Delta Variant, Northern Health has decided to put the following measures in place until at least November 19th:
Personal Gatherings are limited to fully vaccinated individuals only, both indoor and outdoor, private and public, and must have no more than 5 people indoors, or 25 outdoors.
All organized events will require masks and safety plans, and will need to check Vaccine Cards, on top of capacity restrictions of 50 indoors and 100 outdoors.
Restaurants will be required to check the Vaccine Cards of patrons entering the establishment, and cannot serve alcohol between 10:00 at night and 9:00 in the morning.
In addition: worship services will need to be held virtually, bars and nightclubs will remain closed, and sporting events must also check vaccination status, wear masks, and operate a 50 percent capacity.
Due to their high vaccination rates, Terrace, Kitimat, Haida Gwaii, Prince Rupert, and all other health regions west of Kitwanga are excepted from the new order as of now.
All residents, regardless of location, must still continue follow all existing Provincial Health Orders.
