An accident in Smithers from this morning has claimed a life.
At around 11:00, a motor home collided with another vehicle on Highway 16, sending it in to a ditch near the Canadian Tire.
RCMP are now reporting one death as a result of the collision, though they aren’t revealing any more information at this time.
Traffic is currently closed on Highway 16 in both directions between Alberta Street and Tatlow Road, and traffic is being diverted.
