An inquest has been launched in to a 2016 incident which saw two killed by RCMP in Granisle.
Shirley Beatrice Williams and her son Jovan Williams were shot by police in their home in April of 2016.
According to an IIO investigation, the RCMP member was forced to shoot Jovan first, then his mother, after the son tossed a Molotov cocktail at the officer, before pointing a rifle at him.
Jovan was 39 and his mother 73 at the time of the incident.
Initially, the inquest was to take place last year, but was postponed due to Covid.
Now, it is scheduled to begin in Smithers on November 1st.
