Another school in Northern BC is taking a stand against Indigenous discrimination in schools, and standing in solidarity with the Haisla.
Earlier in the week, a Haisla student in Kitimat became the target of alleged discriminatory comments after choosing to wear his regalia for picture day.
Over the course of the week, a number of schools have shown solidarity with the Nation by wearing their own regalia to their schools.
Now, the Lach Klan School in Kitkatla is doing the same, encouraging students and staff to wear their regalia to school on Monday.
Those that do not have their own regalia to wear are asked to instead sport orange Every Child Matters shirts.
